In March 2014 SwissLeg partnered with International Organisation for Migration (IOM) to make 75 prostheses in the city of Damascus, Syria.

The work was done between March and May of 2014. Because of the security situation it was decided that Muhammad Ismail not stay in the country for the entire time but commute between the SwissLeg clinic in Jordan, where the prostheses were produced and Damascus where over the course of 3 visits, he took casts and fitted the amputees. Local staff in Damascus assisted with the moulding and fitting process.
