Volunteers of Kammea completed furbishing the newly constructed workshop on the premesis of the hospital just before the technitions and Roberto Agosta (CEO of SwissLeg) arrived to install the machines as they awaited the arrival of Emmaula from Uganda to train them in the SwissLeg technology.
The workshop will serve as the referral hospital for amputees in the whole of Tanzania. Read more about the progress and first patients on our Facebook page.
Thanks to the fruitful cooperation with High Council of Persons with Disabilities, the National Committee for Demining and Rehabilitation , represented by Mr. Adnan Telfah and Mr.Awni Ayasrah and the Jordan Ministry of Health represented by the prosthetic team from the Al-Basheer Hospital, we addressed the need of 16 amputees, who are mainly land mine victims with a “below-knee” amputation.
Pianist, Guy Raffalli and flutist, Adalberto Riva offered their musical talents in a recital to raise money for amputees who are victims of the Syrian conflict.
